Private and Tailored Experiences Year-Round
All activities offered through Arctic Dreams House are private and exclusive, always tailored to guests’ preferences.
A wide range of summer and winter experiences is available, from outdoor adventures to more relaxed nature-based activities. A key highlight is the newly launched Laivala Adventure Park, a private winter activity park located about 10 minutes from Ranua village centre in a lakeside forest setting.
Here, guests can experience the kind of winter activities locals truly value: snowshoeing, ice fishing, sledding (also suitable for small children), snowmobile sleigh rides, carousel sledding and kicksledding on an ice track. A hearty campfire lunch with local delicacies is included, adding to the authentic experience. The park has already proven very popular and is being developed further with the goal of becoming a year-round attraction.
Private Santa Experiences and Dining
Arctic Dreams House also offers a Private Santa experience in a peaceful lakeside setting. The journey itself becomes part of the experience, as a small countryside road leads through snowy forests and open farmland to a warmly lit cabin.
During the visit, guests meet Santa in an intimate and authentic setting, share stories and enjoy a traditional Finnish Christmas atmosphere. The experience includes a small gift, warm drink with gingerbread cookies and complimentary photography. The visit lasts approximately 30 minutes, with additional options for private dining or lunch in Santa’s home.
Private Chef and Dining Experiences
Private Chef services are available either in your accommodation or in the unique setting of the Santa cabin. The focus is on generous, flavourful food inspired by local ingredients and Finnish culinary traditions.
Menus are always planned together with guests to match their preferences and dietary requirements, ensuring a personalised dining experience.
Why Choose Ranua?
Ranua offers a quieter alternative to busier Lapland destinations, with forests, rivers and open landscapes all around. The pace is slower, the surroundings peaceful, and nature is always close.
Despite this sense of seclusion, Ranua is located just about one hour from Rovaniemi Airport and train connections, making it easy to reach while still offering a more private and authentic Lapland experience.
