Tampereen Vohvelikahvila

Vohvelikahvila is a small and idyllic café beside Tammerpuisto park, close to the Tammerkoski rapids. Waffles have been served for three decades in this more than 100-year-old stone building, known as the smallest building of its kind in Tampere.

Over the years, the historic building has housed a shoemaker’s shop, a second-hand bookshop and a bookbindery. According to local legend, the site was also once home to Tampere’s first petrol station.

Our selection includes both sweet and savoury waffles, with low-lactose, gluten-free and vegan options also available.
