In May 2017, a newcomer appeared in the streets of Old Porvoo. An ice-cream kiosk was opened in Gabriel Hagert’s alley hosted by an ice cream master and Michelin-starred Samuli Wirgentius. Artesian ice cream made in small batches immediately captured the hearts and stomachs of the Porvoo people. The city’s best ice cream was born at the Old Porvoo Ice Cream Factory – with one man, respecting local raw materials. Ice cream stands are open during summer time in three different locations: Gabriel Hagertin Kuja, Itäinen Rantapromenadi 14 ja Tykkipuisto.
