Old Pine Husky Lodge – Authentic Husky Adventures near Kemi in Finnish Lapland

Old Pine Husky Lodge offers memorable husky experiences in the peaceful forests of Keminmaa, close to Kemi in Finnish Lapland. The lodge is home to around 50 working huskies and welcomes families, couples, groups and corporate guests to enjoy authentic Arctic activities in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Guests can choose from a range of husky experiences, from short family-friendly rides to longer forest safaris. Depending on the programme and group preference, husky activities can be arranged as self-driving or guided-driving experiences. Each safari offers the chance to enjoy snowy Lapland nature, meet the dogs and learn more about life at the husky farm.

Popular winter programmes include the Family Run, a relaxed husky experience with a short ride, farm tour and hot juice by the fire, and the Forest Experience, which includes a longer husky ride through winter landscapes. Guided husky farm tours are also available for visitors who want to meet the dogs and learn more about the farm without taking part in a sled ride. Longer 10 km husky safaris are available from mid-January.

Old Pine Husky Lodge can also arrange additional Arctic activities, including Northern Lights chases, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing, ice fishing, horse riding and visits to a nearby reindeer farm. In autumn, husky kart safaris are available before the winter sledding season begins.

For groups, the lodge offers flexible meal options in traditional wooden settings. Lunch or dinner can be arranged in a cosy kota, a larger pirtti, or at the Italian restaurant next to the husky farm. Meal options include pizza buffet, salmon soup and customised three-course menus. Activities and meals can be combined smoothly, making Old Pine Husky Lodge an ideal destination for group excursions and full-day Lapland programmes.
