Ämmäkoski Tar Boat Canal & Guard’s Cabin

The only still-functioning tar boat channel in the world was originally constructed in the 1840s, closed in 1915 and reopened in 1984. The canal can be admired year round, but in summertime special tar rowing demonstrations are held.
