Rovaniemi Santa’s Hotels

The city of Rovaniemi, located on the Arctic Circle, is the capital of Finnish Lapland and the official home of Santa Claus. There are three options for visitors to choose from: Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus; Santa’s Hotel Rudolf; and Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle.

Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus

Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus is located in the heart of Rovaniemi, providing a range of rooms from standard to suites with saunas. All suites and deluxe rooms are located on the top floor with beautiful views over the city and the grand river of Kemijoki. Rooms are spacious, with a ceiling height of 3.5m, and most feature a bathtub. Restaurant services are provided in the Lappiravintola Gaissa (awarded with the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs plaque) and Bar & Grill ZoomUp.

Santa’s Hotel Rudolf

Santa’s Hotel Rudolf is located just 600m from Hotel Santa Claus, and is the perfect choice for budget travelers. Check-in and staff are at Hotel Santa Claus, where buffet breakfast and restaurant discounts are available. There are 4 room options at Hotel Rudolf – Economy Single, Economy Double, Economy Triple, and Sauna Standard.

Santa’s Igloos

Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi

Also in Rovaniemi, Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle are located in Santa Claus Village at the Arctic Circle, and are the ideal setting to experience the Aurora Borealis and the Midnight Sun, depending on the season. These glass-roofed, air-conditioned igloos provide the perfect base for experiencing the ever-changing nature of Lapland with all the comforts of a hotel room. There are four types of igloo available, the Premium Igloo, Premium Igloo with alcove, Premium Igloo with sauna and Premium Igloo with jacuzzi. All igloos have a bathroom and shower, a minibar, kettle, TV, heated glass ceiling, slippers, bathrobes, hair dryer, as well an aurora alert to let guests know when the Northern Lights are visible.

Next to Santa’s Hotel Aurora in Luosto, Santa’s Igloos Aurora has 10 luxurious glass igloos, each with an Aurora Alarm, a bathroom with shower, a minibar, kettle, TV, air-conditioning, heated glass ceiling, slippers, bathrobes, and toiletries.

Kilpisjärvi Santa’s Hotels

Located in Kilpisjärvi village, where the border of three countries meet, and surrounded by spectacular fell landscapes, Santa’s Hotel Rakka is a new wood-built design hotel, with full-service apartments and a restaurant in the wilderness areas of Lapland. There are five styles of room available, 3 of which have a sauna, while the apartments are for 1-4 or 1-6 people, and all have sauna. Restaurant Rakka offers a perfect combination of breathtaking views and Nordic flavours.

Saariselkä Santa’s Hotels

Located in Saariselkä, the northernmost holiday resort of Lapland, by the vast Urho Kekkonen National Park, Santa’s Hotel Tunturi provides a range of accommodation options to suit everyone. Six room styles include suites and deluxe rooms for a luxurious stay, as well as superior and standard rooms, and choices in apartments that come in 1,2,3 and 5 bedrooms. Luosto Santa’s Hotels

Santa’s Hotel Aurora is located over 100 km north of Rovaniemi in the small resort village of Luosto, a Lappish wilderness resort with excellent accessibility from Rovaniemi and Kittilä Airports. An ideal year-round nature holiday destination, the resort lies next to the beautiful Pyhä Luosto National Park, where Santa’s Hotel offers three accommodation choices in boutique hotel accommodation, glass igloos or a traditionally built log villa. Santa’s Hotel Aurora has a choice of 30 rooms in 5 styles, all of which have a sauna, with two styles also having a fireplace.

Santa’s Villas

Santa’s Villa Laavu

Further north in the Kittilä region, close to Levi Ski Resort, Santa’s Villa Laavu provides luxury accommodation with breathtaking views of the surrounding arctic wilderness. The three-story grand villa features a large living room with 8 metre high windows, fireplace and comfortable living and dining areas. The adjoining kitchen is fully-equipped. There are seven bedrooms, with 14 beds, and a large sauna department with a fireplace room, changing room and jacuzzi. Levi centre is only a 10-minute drive from the villa.

Santa’s Villa Borealis

Located just 400m from the Santa’s Hotel Aurora in Luosto in peaceful forest surroundings lies Santa’s Villa Borealis, providing all-inclusive hotel accommodation in a traditional Finnish log cabin. Breakfast and reception services are at Hotel Aurora, and guests can upgrade with breakfast and other meals catered to the villa. The villa consists of 11 bedrooms and spacious common areas and a ski maintenance room.

Santa’s Resort & Spa Hotel Sani in Kalajoki

The Santa’s Hotels chain also includes Santa’s Resort & Spa Hotel Sani, a beachfront hotel and apartments situated on the sand dunes of Kalajoki. There are four choices of room, the two having a sauna, and eight different apartment styles available including suite and premium suite apartments. Restaurant Bistro serves delicious, locally produced food, and can organise bigger events and menus, according to the needs of guests. A new sea-view restaurant will be opened in the spa hotel in the spring of 2024. In addition, more hotel rooms are under construction, and more high-quality suites will be added to the hotel’s service selection.
