Helsinki Senate Square
The Helsinki Senate Square is the stage for Carl Ludvig Engel’s lengthiest architectural project. These majestic buildings are the oldest parts of Helsinki and present Engel’s architecture as unique allegory of political, religious, scientific and commercial powers. Today many art events, concerts, Christmas markets and even snowboarding happenings are held at the Senate Square.
