Hankasalmi Church

Hankasalmi Church was designed by architect Josef Stenbäck and built during the years 1888-1892. The church ranks as one of Finland’s largest wooden churches, with room for 1300 people. The church’s Gothic style is reflected, among other things, in its pointed shapes and pillars. The church is also referred to as the church of light.
