EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art
EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art is Finland’s largest art museum. It presents an inspiring selection of Finnish and international contemporary art, design, and modern art. The permanent exhibitions feature the collections of Saastamoinen Foundation, Tapio Wirkkala Rut Bryk Foundation, and Collection Kakkonen. In addition, the museum hosts numerous immersive temporary exhibitions each year.
EMMA is located in the Exhibition Centre WeeGee, just 30 minutes from Helsinki city centre. The museum building is a former printing house and an iconic example of concrete brutalist architecture, designed by Professor Aarno Ruusuvuori in the 1960s.
With a single museum ticket, you can visit EMMA, the KAMU Espoo City Museum, the Mauri Kunnas exhibition, and the Futuro House, which is open during the summer season. There’s also a restaurant and a museum shop.
