Cable Gallery
The Cable Gallery opened in the Cable Factory in Helsinki in March 2000. The gallery was set up by the Cable Factory Artists Association as a non-commercial, artist-run exhibition space. It initially hosted both solo and group exhibitions, mainly by members of the association. Later shows have also been organized in co-operation with other cultural actors on the Helsinki art scene. From October 2009 onwards, the Cable Gallery has been run by HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme).
From the start, the gallery has sought to support young, mid-career and established artists, by giving them an opportunity to showcase their work in the outstanding artistic and cultural setting of the Cable Factory.
