A Peaceful Base for Exploring Pyhä-Luosto National Park
In the fell landscapes of Pyhä, Sunday Morning Collection offers a slower way to experience Finnish Lapland. Here, space, silence and nature are part of everyday life, shaping the rhythm of each stay.
Located in Pyhä-Luosto National Park, one of Europe’s oldest landscapes, the destination opens into wide northern views, clean air and a sense of calm. Summer brings long, golden nights under the Midnight Sun. By early autumn, ruska colours the forests and fells in deep reds, oranges and golds, while the first Northern Lights return to the sky from late August onwards.
This is also when Lapland feels at its most spacious. Fewer visitors, clear air and cool temperatures create ideal conditions for exploring, whether walking the fells, cycling scenic routes or simply spending time outdoors at your own pace.

Luxury, the Finnish Way
In Finland, luxury is found in Lapland, free time and a direct connection to nature. It can mean a slow morning, a full day outdoors, the warmth of a sauna and a quiet evening on your own terrace, under the northern sky.
Here, many of the most memorable moments are already part of your stay: the national park at your doorstep, your own private sauna, and the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights without leaving your apartment.

Parkside Pyhä Apartments: Fellside Stay, Close to Nature
Set at the gateway of the national park, Parkside Pyhä apartments offer a seamless connection between comfort and nature. Nature trails begin just outside your door, while lifts, cafés and village services remain within walking distance.
Each 93 m² apartment is designed for ease and independence. Two separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living area create room to settle in, whether travelling as a couple, family or small group. Practical details, like a storage for outdoor gear, a drying cabinet, washing facilities, support an active stay in all seasons.
After a day outdoors, you return to your own sauna and a terrace that extends your living space into the surrounding landscape. The glazed terrace, with its biogas fireplace, becomes a place to pause with a warm drink, quiet air, the outline of the fells.
And in autumn, the experience continues above you. The sky darkens, and without leaving your apartment, the Northern Lights may appear as a natural part of the stay.

Sunday Morning Resort: Lakeside Stillness, in Every Season
By the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi, Sunday Morning Resort offers a more private lakeside setting, surrounded by forest, open waters and stillness. During the summer and autumn season, the resort is experienced in a more private and exclusive form, through the Aihki Holiday apartments.
Each apartment combines natural materials with modern comfort, with a private sauna, a fireplace, and a terrace facing the lake, creating a setting where the day slows down naturally. The layout offers space across two levels, with a bedroom for two and three additional beds upstairs, making it ideal for couples and families or longer stays.
Here, days move gently between the lake, the forest and your own space. Evenings settle around the fireplace or in the warmth of the sauna.
For added ease, breakfast supplies can be delivered directly to both Parkside Pyhä and Sunday Morning Resort’s Aihki Apartments, allowing mornings to begin gently, in your own rhythm.
As the seasons change, so does the resort. In early winter, Sunday Morning Resort opens more fully, offering a broader range of experiences and a different atmosphere shaped by snow, darkness and the Northern Lights.
Whether you arrive in the light of summer, the colours of autumn or the stillness of winter, the essence remains the same: space, calm and a deeper connection to the nature of Lapland.

Nature at Your Own Pace
From both Parkside Pyhä and Aihki apartments, nature begins immediately from your doorstep. Pyhä-Luosto National Park offers a diverse landscape of ancient pine forests, deep gorges, open wetlands and wide fell views.
The cooler temperatures of late summer and autumn make it an ideal time to explore on foot or by bike. Along the way, forests offer berries and mushrooms, and it is not uncommon to encounter reindeer moving freely across the landscape.
One day may take you across the fells on a longer hike, another along a quiet forest path or a cycling route. There is no need for fixed rhythms. Here you have the freedom to follow the weather, your energy and your curiosity.

Midnight Sun, Ruska and Northern Lights
Summer in Pyhä is defined by light. During the brightest weeks, daylight stretches deep into the night, and the fells glow in soft gold long after evening should have begun. Life moves gently: late walks, unhurried dinners, long northern evenings.
In early autumn, ruska transforms the landscape. Forests and fells shift into vivid colour, reflected in still lakes and framed by clear northern air. This seasonal change, combined with fewer visitors, creates a rare sense of space and tranquillity.
As darkness slowly returns, another season begins. Northern Lights are visible from late August onwards, making autumn one of the most rewarding times to watch the sky. Clear air, quiet surroundings and minimal light pollution create ideal conditions for aurora viewing from your very own terrace.

Sauna, Lake and the Rhythm of the North
No Finnish experience is complete without a sauna.
On the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi, guests can enjoy traditional lakeside sauna experiences, including wood-heated saunas, smoke saunas and outdoor hot tubs. After the warmth, a swim in the lake or a moment in the cool northern air completes the experience.
Together with your private apartment and sauna, these moments form a quiet, grounded sense of luxury.

The Story Behind Sunday Morning Collection
Sunday Morning Collection was created by entrepreneur couple Sirpa Juhola-Loippo and Kimmo Loippo, who chose to exchange a busy life in southern Finland for the quieter rhythm of the Pyhä fells.
Surrounded by forest and lakeshore, the place carried a familiar feeling: a slow, peaceful Sunday morning. That same atmosphere continues to shape the experience today.
