Varkaus Museum & Art Museum

Situated in an old factory house that was built in 1914 are the Varkaus museum of local history, and the city's art museum. The upper floor in the building presents the exhibition “City in layers – the history of Varkaus in its buildings”, while downstairs the rooms are filled with art on display, the main hall holding changing exhibitions over the year.
