Discovering Finland (Discovering Finland Guide Oy, Company Registration 2374512-8)is a new travel and tourism portal for Finland. It has been designed to provide a service to two sets of users; tourists (Finnish and foreign) considering a vacation here who are looking for the clearest possible overview of all services available, and local Finnish service providers wishing to make their presence known nationally and internationally.

For site visitors Discovering Finland aims to provide a detailed online brochure about the unique charms of Finland. In the About Finland section you will find an overview of Finnish history, from the first post-Ice Age settlements to the present day, as well as sections introducing aspects of Finnish nature and culture. Some of the information we share includes how modern Finnish design has put Finland firmly on the international stage, where and when to best enjoy the Aurora Borealis, the significance of the sauna in Finland, and of course how to get to Santa's home. In the Regions & Cities section we have provided an introduction to 7 regions of Finland, and within those 7 regions are further introductions to 42 of Finland's most important cities and towns. Our What To Do section has 5 sections (Attractions & Culture, Activities & Sports, Family Fun, Food & Drink, and Shopping), with another 34 sub-sections, providing a comprehensive guide to just about everything there is to do in Finland. Likewise, the 4 sections and 20 sub-sections in the What's On section provide details of live entertainment throughout the country.
