Fishing is one of the most popular reasons for visiting Imatra, with the lake and river offering plenty of opportunities for catching a variety of species. Adventure enthusiasts can rent ATVs in the summer, or snowmobiles in the winter, and the town caters for most indoor sports in its well equipped sports halls.
