Johan (Juhana) Vilhelm Snellman (1806-1881 Kirkkonummi, Grand Duchy of Finland) was a Finnish philosopher, writer, newsreader and statesman, one of the most influential survivors of the 19th century in Finland. He significantly influenced the position of Finnish and the introduction of the Finnish markka. He is considered to be the national philosophy of Finland and one of the most important national promoters.
